Kojic acid

Kojic acid is obtained from the fermentation process of malting rice, which is also used for the production of Japanese rice wine (sake). It has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and is mainly used in aesthetic medicine for its skin-lightening and melanin-inhibiting effects.
