Chronobiology

Chronobiology (from the Greek χρονος - chronos, meaning time) is the study of biological activity and the regulation of organisms based on time and biorhythms. When applied to nutrition science, chronobiology investigates the effects of nutrition in relation to body rhythms, with the aim of regulating the choice and intake of nutrients in accordance with the person’s biological rhythms for optimal absorption.
