Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid has been used in medicine for centuries; the analgesic and antipyretic effects of willow bark extract (precursor to salicylic acid) were already known at the time of Hippocrates. Salicylic acid is also used in modern aesthetic medicine for its anti-inflammatory, exfoliating and regenerating properties.
