Aesthetic profile blood tests

Beauty and health are inextricably linked. This blood panel reveals whether important nutrients and antioxidants for the skin, hair and nails are present in the body in sufficient quantities. It is also useful for determining the hormone balance and besides baseline values it includes:

  • Iron
  • C-reactive protein
  • Complement component C 3
  • Homocysteine
  • Fibrinogen
  • TSH
  • Oestradiol or testosterone
  • DHEA-S
  • Cortisol
  • Vitamin D
  • Sodium, potassium, chloride
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Urine analysis
Anti-ageing medical consultation

The anti-ageing consultation includes a comprehensive skin analysis as well as an evaluation of your state of health. The consultation is carried out by an aesthetic medicine specialist focusing on the following factors:

  • Genetic features (skin and eye colour, hair structure, body weight and size)
  • Blood tests
  • Posture
  • Muscle and tissue tone
  • Skin tone
  • Skin condition (moles, dilated capillaries, keratoses, pigment- or age spots)

Taking into account your personal profile, a tailored treatment programme is then devised on the grounds of your needs, wishes and priorities.

Anti-snoring therapy

Snoring is more than just an annoying condition: it is a health disorder that can lead to constant fatigue and lower performance. It affects sleep quality for both the snorer and their partner. Excessive snoring, also known as rhonchopathy, can be treated by laser therapy. This safe, pain-free procedure involves using a fine laser beam to tighten the palate tissue, which enables better air intake. After the treatment, improvements occur within a few days. Since the effects decrease gradually after 12 to 15 months, it is advisable to repeat the procedure on a yearly basis.

Basic blood tests

Blood mirrors our health. Therefore, blood values are a key tool for diagnosis that can reveal a number of diseases and deficiency symptoms. Basic blood analysis provides data regarding – among other things – blood composition, kidney and liver functioning, metabolism, glycaemia and fats associated with cardiovascular risk. Nutritional imbalances and insufficient or excessive physical exercise can also be diagnosed by blood analysis.
Basic blood tests determine the following values:
Haemogram (blood count)
Urea and uric acid
Creatinine
Glucose
Transaminase and GGT (Gamma GT) enzymes
Triglycerides and cholesterol

Biolift with vitamins and hyaluronic acid

The most popular substances for natural skin rejuvenation include complex amino acids, vitamins, minerals, co-enzymes and exogenous hyaluronic acid. Injected into the deeper layers of the skin using thin needles, these substances boost the production of collagen, elastin and endogenous hyaluronic acid, tightening tissues and reducing wrinkles. A natural treatment for a smoother, revitalised skin.

Buttock toning treatments

Aesthetic medicine offers a range of treatments to lift and tone the buttock area for a harmonious, youthful body:

  • Volumising filler with hyaluronic acid
  • Stone treatment to improve muscle tone
  • Endolift laser treatment to tighten the skin and reduce slackening
  • Thread lift for greater volume and a firmer skin
Carboxytherapy and mesotherapy combined

Carboxytherapy involves injecting carbon dioxide into the tissues in order to reactivate the local microcirculation, improve skin elasticity and stimulate the production of collagen. Just like carboxytherapy, mesotherapy also consists of microinjections and the two methods can be used together to maximise effects. This combined treatment is so effective that a single session is sufficient to achieve visible results.
Especially recommended for: improvement of lymph circulation, reduction of localised fat deposits, treatment of cellulite and fine wrinkles.

Carboxytherapy with vitamins

Carboxytherapy exploits the properties of carbon dioxide for therapeutic purposes. The CO₂ is combined with a mixture of vitamins and injected beneath the skin into the underlying connective tissue in order to reactivate the local microcirculation. This procedure improves skin elasticity and density by stimulating collagen production. It also promotes lymph circulation and facilitates the reduction of localised fat deposits. Carboxytherapy is suitable for a wide range of therapeutic applications, from cellulite to localised fat and from fine wrinkles to psoriasis. The combination of CO₂ and vitamins is particularly effective, with improvements visible even after one single session.

Cavitation

Cavitation is an ultrasound body contouring treatment that significantly reduces localised fat deposits and cellulite. Ultrasonic waves destroy the adipose cell membrane, causing fat to be released and eliminated from the body through the lymphatic system. This non-invasive, pain-free procedure is especially indicated for the treatment of specific areas of concerns, such as legs (saddle bags), upper arms, abdomen, buttocks and waist. Cavitation is a gentle, non-surgical alternative to liposuction with results visible even after the first session. We recommend you combine the treatment with a balanced diet and exercise to maximise its benefits.

Cheekbone tightening treatments

Tight cheeks and cheekbones make the face look fresh and youthful. Aesthetic medicine offers several methods to tone up the cheek area:

  • Volumising filler with hyaluronic acid
  • Stone treatment to improve muscle tone
  • Endolift laser treatment to correct slackening and tighten skin tissue
  • Thread lift for greater volume and firmer skin
CM Slim

Cutting-edge technology in body contouring and muscle strengthening: Intense electric-magnetic energy triggers supramaximal muscle contractions that not only burn fat but build, repair and define muscle, performing the equivalent of over 20,000 squats. Ideal for for functional recovery, toning and sculpting the muscles of the abdomen and thighs and a push-up effect on the buttocks. Enhances the effects of a workout.

Cryolipolysis

Cryolipolysis is an innovative body slimming treatment that reduces localised fat by exploiting the sensitiveness of fat cells to cold.
During this procedure, areas of concern are exposed to cold by means of special equipment, causing the fat cells to freeze and dissolve through the body’s natural processes. This method is especially effective for the treatment of localised fat in the abdomen, waist, male chest, upper arms, thighs, knees and buttocks.
Not only is cryolipolysis safe and gentle, it is also very effective with results visible after just one session.
Since the final results depend on the patient’s metabolism, we recommend following the session with tightening treatments or lymphatic drainage.

Double chin treatment with Belkyra

FDA-cleared procedure that treats the double chin thanks to the infiltration of an agent that reduces fat under the chin.

Dysbiosis test

The human intestine is colonised by more than 400 different bacterial species. When the intestinal flora is well-balanced, these bacteria live in symbiosis with us helping to preserve our health. However, imbalances affecting the intestinal flora can result in dysbiosis. This test analyses the state of health of the gut flora to prevent any disease that might arise from imbalances. It is especially recommended in cases of diarrhoea or constipation, irregular bowel function, flatulence, recurrent urinary or genital infections (yeast infections, cystitis), chronic fatigue and mood swings.

Eyelid tightening

The skin around the eyes is particularly thin and sensitive. In time, it tends to lose its elasticity, causing the eyelids to droop. The ErbiumYAG laser gently removes the skin tissues damaged by ageing while also stimulating collagen production and tightening the skin. The result is a fresh, rejuvenated appearance.
Localised reddening and small scabs might appear after the treatment, but will heal within a few days.

Free radical test

Free radicals are molecules with an unpaired electron that remove electrons from other molecules, thereby destroying them and leading to what is known as oxidative stress. An excess of oxidative stress causes cell damage, speeding up the ageing process and causing a number of diseases ranging from arteriosclerosis to arthritis and from Alzheimer’s disease to diabetes and others.
Free radicals are byproducts of nearly all the metabolic processes involved in converting food into energy, with mitochondria being the primary site of free radical production.
This test determines both the amount of free radicals and whether the body has sufficient antioxidants available to neutralise them.

GUTSCAN digestive function and intestinal flora test

This stool test consists of a macroscopic and microscopic analysis of the digestive function and composition of intestinal flora, useful for determining the state of health of gut flora and detecting possible pathogens in the digestive tract. Based on the findings, a personalised therapeutic programme is devised to regulate digestion and improve overall health.

Hair loss profile blood tests

Hair loss can be caused by a number of factors, such as stress, nutritional deficiencies, hormonal fluctuation or certain types of drugs. It is therefore advisable to identify the exact causes of hair loss in order to choose the most suitable course of therapy, preventing further hair loss or stimulating new growth. Along with baseline blood values, the Hair loss profile blood tests include:

  • Iron
  • Homocysteine
  • FT3
  • FT4
  • TSH
  • Oestradiol (women only)
  • Testosterone
  • DHEA-S
  • Cortisol
  • Vitamin D
  • Sodium, potassium, chloride
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Urine analysis
Hyaluronic acid filler

Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced by the body, but its concentration decreases steadily once we reach 25 years of age. Injections of exogenous hyaluronic acid are an excellent treatment to smooth out wrinkles and plump up face volumes.
The hyaluronic acid filler is the ideal treatment for reducing wrinkles, firming the skin and improving facial contours.
Minimal amounts of filler are injected into the dermis through thin needles. This treatment is especially suitable for the nasolabial area, lips, forehead, chin, cheeks and eye- and mouth contours.
Effects are not permanent, hence the injections should be repeated at regular intervals (6 months to 2 years) for long-term results.

I-LIPO Fat Reduction & Body Contouring

I-Lipo is a smart, non-surgical alternative to liposuction, developed for smoothing out cellulite, reducing body fat and shaping the body. The laser energy emitted by the I-Lipo device penetrates the fat cells and triggers a photochemical reaction that breaks down the stored fat, making it readily available for the body to transform into energy. The byproducts of this process are then eliminated by the lymph flow.
The I-Lipo system is painless and has no side effects. It can also be combined with other treatments such as shock wave therapy or mesotherapy to maximise results. However, since metabolism is involved in the process, it is advisable to follow it up with an appropriate exercise programme.

Iomet test for active cell nutrition

Developed by the Institute for Nutrition and Prevention in Lyon, France, this non-invasive test starts with a medical examination including a computerised analysis of the patient’s lifestyle: eating habits, environment, medical history and self-assessment of state of health. This enables possible health issues to be identified which, if left untreated, could lead to cellular damage. Based on test results, a tailored nutritional plan and personalised therapy are devised.

Laser therapy for facial rejuvenation

Laser therapy is the latest trend in facial rejuvenation. This technique consists of targeting fibroblasts with a laser beam to stimulate the production of collagen fibres and elastin, thus initiating a process that continues for several months. The procedure exploits the skin’s self-healing mechanisms to achieve a natural-looking, harmonious result. Skin texture is improved and rejuvenated with long-term effects. Laser therapy is minimally invasive and suitable for treating a wide range of skin conditions, including wrinkles, enlarged pores, age spots, sun-related damage, couperose, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, skin lesions and scars.
Besides the face, areas that can be treated by laser therapy include the neck, décolleté and the back of the hands.

Laser treatment of angiomas, couperose, telangiectasia and leg thread veins

NdYag and diode lasers can be used to effectively treat vascular lesions on the legs without disrupting the skin surface.
These devices work with low energy levels to prevent injuries to the surrounding tissue. In some cases it might be necessary to complement the laser treatment with sclerotherapy in order to reach the vessels in the lower skin layers and achieve an optimal result. After each session, some redness or swelling can occur that usually resolves in a few hours. It is recommended to protect the skin and avoid sun exposure after treatment.

Lipodissolve with Aqualyx

Lipodissolve is a safe, non-surgical slimming treatment that consists of dissolving localised adipose tissue by injecting active ingredients directly into the fat deposits. Aqualyx is an approved compound solution that dissolves fat, which is then eliminated by the body’s natural metabolic processes. This non-invasive procedure ensures a visible reduction in fat deposits from the first session and is particularly recommended to treat localised fat on the upper arms, thighs, saddle bags, abdomen, waist, hips, buttocks and knees, as well as to treat gynaecomastia.

Medical peel

Medical peels remove the dead cells from the upper skin layer in order to stimulate the natural cell renewal process for a fresher, smoother skin. Nowadays peeling formulas can be personalised to take into account important factors such as age, skin type, type and severity of skin condition, season and lifestyle.

Medical peels are basically divided into three categories:
Light peel: made with mainly natural ingredients such as fruit acids (including lactic, mandelic and citric acid) and salicylic acid. This type of peel enables skin spots, age spots and fine lines to be removed and skin texture and complexion to be improved.
Medium peel: made with salicylic acid, trichloroacetic acid, lactic acid and glycolic acid. The peeling agents penetrate the papillary dermis (second layer of skin) without being absorbed by the body, making the procedure safe. Medium peels are suitable for the treatment of acne, skin pigmentation (melasma), UV-damaged skin, minor wrinkles and enlarged pores.
Deep peel: PRX-T33 peel with hydrogen, trichloroacetic acid and kojic acid. This peeling has a regenerative, lightening effect and is ideal for smoothing out minor wrinkles and treating scars, wrinkles, skin pigmentation (melasma), keratoses, enlarged pores and age warts.

The peeling chemicals are applied and left on the skin for several minutes, making it possible to remove dead skin layers without aggressive scrubbing. Redness might appear immediately after treatment and can be alleviated by cooling down the area of concern and applying skin care products. The skin must be protected from exposure to the sun after treatment.

Mesotherapy for the treatment of cellulite

Mesotherapy can be used to treat cellulite. This procedure involves small amounts of individually combined active ingredients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, circulation promoters, hyaluronic acid) being injected beneath the skin with the aim of improving leg health from both the functional and aesthetic perspectives. Mesotherapy is ideal for:

  • reducing cellulite and localised fat deposits
  • stimulating oxygen supply and microcirculation in peripheral tissues
  • toning up tissues and combating inflammation
Needle Therapy System

Originally used to treat scars, this minimally invasive technique is becoming increasingly popular in aesthetic medicine. Thin needles placed on the surface of a dermal roller penetrate into the upper skin layer, promoting blood flow and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Needling is suitable for skin tightening, smoothing out fine wrinkles, improving skin texture and treating acne scars and stretch marks.

Non-invasive dermatologic micro-surgery

Safe and comfortable premium outpatient treatment to eliminate blemishes such as cutaneous hyperchromia, stretch marks, warts, nevi, keloids, fibromas, xanthelasma, dyskeratosis, cherry angiomas, face capillaries, wrinkles on the eye contour, scars.

Non-surgical blepharoplasty

A delicate and precise technique that involves cutaneous microvaporization and the retraction of eyelid superficial tissue.

Permanent hair removal

Thanks to laser technology, unwanted hair on the face, legs, armpits, forearms and bikini area can be removed permanently. It should be noted that laser can only remove hair that is in the first phase of its life cycle, meaning that approximately 10% to 30% of the hairs are removed with each session. Weak hair growth might occur even after treatment but only in some cases.
The number of sessions needed varies depending on the patient’s situation. The treatment is most effective with dark hair, because a certain amount of melanin (dark pigment) is necessary for the laser beam to be completely absorbed. However, good results can also be achieved with fair hair by applying some colour to the hair follicles before treatment.
Laser hair removal is contraindicated during pregnancy, in the summer months and in patients with certain types of skin disease. Ndy and diodes are the most commonly used laser types for this treatment.

PRP Autohaemotherapy

PRP (Platelet-rich plasma) treatment is a natural medical procedure that helps boost cell renewal. Platelets, also called thrombocytes, are one of the numerous types of cell present in human blood. They contain all the biological building blocks and growth factors that stimulate the production of new cells. PRP is obtained by collecting the patient’s blood and extracting platelet-rich plasma by means of centrifugation.
Natural but effective, PRP treatment enables the signs of ageing on the face and décolleté to be resisted.
It regenerates blood vessels and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin as well as the creation of new connective tissue.
Since the patient’s own blood alone is used to perform this procedure, the therapy is well tolerated with no risk of adverse or allergic reactions.

PRP hair treatment
PRP can also be performed on the scalp to stimulate cell regeneration at the roots of the hair and promote the development of new blood vessels. By improving the blood flow and supply of nutrients, it is possible to stop hair loss and stimulate the growth of new follicles.

Removal of elevated skin blemishes

Skin blemishes on the face and body can be caused by a variety of factors such as injuries, viral and bacterial infections, sun damage and ageing. The ADLER MED skin care specialists treat blemishes using cutting-edge techniques that range from medical peels to shock wave therapy up to latest generation of laser devices such as ErbYag, NdYag and 500, 800 or 1,500 nm diode lasers.
Excellent results can be expected from the treatment of sagging skin, fine lines, keratoses, age- and pigment spots and scars.

Removal of xanthelasmas

Xanthelasmas are yellowish or whitish subcutaneous fat deposits that usually develop on the upper or lower eyelids. While xanthelasmas are a benign skin growth, many people feel they are unaesthetic and wish to remove them.
From a clinical point of view, xanthelasmas are sometimes associated with increased cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. In such cases, it is advisable to normalise blood values before going on to treat xanthelasmas, which can be laser removed under local anaesthetic, in one or more sessions.

Revitalising mesotherapy

Depending on the substances injected, mesotherapy can stimulate various repair mechanisms. Treatment is personalised by combining a series of active ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, circulation promoters or hyaluronic acid and injecting the compound into the target tissues. By stimulating acupuncture points, mesotherapy achieves a revitalising and invigorating effect, contrasting fatigue, loss of vitality and tiredness.

Rhinofiller – non-surgical rhinoplasty

Modern high-viscosity fillers with hyaluronic acid offer a non-surgical alternative to rhinoplasty for a more harmonious profile. Rhinofillers reshape the nose by lifting the nose tip and root and smoothing out the nasal bridge. The nose is modified to the desired shape with immediate results that last for 12 to 18 months.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical procedure for the treatment of vascular diseases such as varicose, spider and thread veins on the lower limbs.
Several factors can cause and contribute to the onset of varicose and thread veins, including genetics, pregnancy, hormonal changes, weight gain and lack of physical exercise. Unlike laser therapy, which is a thermal treatment, sclerotherapy is a biochemical treatment: special fluids are injected into the blood vessels which, by inducing localised inflammation, cause the veins to shrink.

Shock wave therapy

Shock waves are short pulses of mechanical-acoustic energy transmitted through water or water-rich tissue. Shock wave therapy is gaining increasing popularity in the medical field, with a growing range of therapeutic applications that include aesthetic medical treatments.
This simple, effective procedure helps remove excess fat, tone up the body and tighten body tissue without any side effects.
The acoustic waves also reduce cellulite, improve skin elasticity and are suitable for the treatment of scar tissue. This therapy is especially recommended to treat the buttocks, arms, thighs and abdomen.

Shock wave therapy for pain relief

Shock waves are short waves of mechanical-acoustic energy that are transmitted by water or water-containing tissue. For decades now shock wave therapy has been used for breaking up kidney stones, but its applications extend beyond lithotripsy. Besides destroying kidney stones and gallstones, shock waves can also treat tendon infections, heal injuries and bone fractures and relieve pain, as they accelerate healing by promoting the formation of new chemical messengers and blood vessels without significant side effects.

Stretch mark treatment

Stretch marks are red to silver-white scars that appear when the skin’s connective tissue is torn due to excessive stretching. Although stretch marks are usually associated with pregnancy, they can affect men as well as women and develop at any age, for example during puberty, menopause or in cases of rapid weight loss or gain.
We treat stretch marks by targeting the areas of concern with high-energy light pulses that activate the skin’s natural repair processes and stimulate the production of new collagen. As a result, the scars fade and become less evident.

Thread lift

The thread lift is a minimally invasive alternative to the surgical facelift. It stimulates collagen formation while physically lifting problem areas. Absorbable PDO threads with tiny cone-shaped attachments are inserted by means of thin needles into the subcutaneous tissue, where they tighten the skin while also stimulating the production of collagen.
After a few weeks, the threads become absorbed within the new connective tissue, causing volume growth that tightens the skin and redefines the face or body contours.
This technique is suitable to treat areas such as the cheeks, jaws, contour of the mouth, nasolabial folds and marionette lines, as well as rejuvenate the neck and the back of the hands. It is also effective for tightening the abdomen, arms and inner thighs.
Effects become visible approximately 3 months after treatment and can last for up to 2 years.

TOP profile blood tests

Our body functions are the result of a complex interplay of anatomical structures and physiological processes. This is why we have devised our TOP Profile blood tests – comprehensive blood analysis that will provide your practitioner with detailed information on your state of health, including metabolism, sugar- and bone metabolism, iron storage (ferritin), pro-inflammatory factors, thyroid hormones, immune system response, nutrient intake (vitamins, minerals, trace elements), electrolytes, liver- and kidney functioning and hormonal balance, as well as a series of sex-specific parameters.
Signs of physical and mental stress can also be detected through blood tests. The TOP Profile services include urine analysis and all the blood tests listed on our homepage.

Treatment of acne

Acne is a multifactorial skin disease that can affect both sexes, its onset occurring most frequently during puberty. It is characterised by breakouts usually located on the face and back, ranging from pimples to painful, pus-filled pustules and cysts that can leave permanent scars.
Aesthetic medicine can effectively treat acne-related blemishes. Regular washes with a pH-neutral cleanser are highly recommended as the first step of acne treatment. Skin texture can be improved by treating the areas of concern with peels containing various acids (e.g. fruit acid, glycolic acid), and even more if combined with laser treatment that intensifies the effects, improving cell metabolism in the deep skin layers.

Treatment of benign naevi and keratoses

Laser technology has replaced surgery for the removal of unaesthetic lesions. Blemishes such as warts, benign naevi (moles), keratoses and fibromas can now be effectively removed by means of high-precision Erb-Yag and diode lasers, which enable a very thin, superficial layer of skin to be removed without injuring the surrounding tissue. The procedure is quick and usually pain-free, with local anaesthetics being a rare necessity.

Treatment of enlarged pores

Pores are minute channels that connect the sebaceous glands to the outer skin layer, enabling sweat and other substances to be expelled.
In people with dry or healthy skin, pores are hardly visible, whereas in people with oily skin not only do they become enlarged and more conspicuous, they also retain impurities thus facilitating the accumulation of bacteria. Overproduction of sebum can cause the skin to lose elasticity and become thicker. Aesthetic medicine offers several alternatives for the treatment of enlarged pores, including various peels, antioxidants such as vitamin E and laser therapy.

Treatment of hair loss

Several effective methods can be used to treat hair loss.
Mesotherapy: The scalp is stimulated and hair growth triggered by means of microinfiltration of specific solutions containing active ingredients.
PRP (Autohaemotherapy): Platelet-rich plasma is used to promote the development of new blood vessels in the scalp. Increased perfusion stops hair loss and stimulates the formation of new hair follicles.
Hair filler with biomimetic peptides and hyaluronic acid: The active ingredients stop hair loss and promote hair growth by countering the effects of the oxygen radicals that are responsible for cell ageing.

Treatment of onychomycosis

Onychomycosis is a fungal infection of the nails. It can be caused by fungi, yeast or moulds and most commonly affects the toenails. Infected nails become brittle with a yellowish discoloration. Laser technology enables onychomycosis to be treated effectively: the laser beam penetrates the infected nail where its heat inhibits fungal growth without damaging nail structure and the surrounding tissue.

Treatment of pigment spots

Pigment spots are caused by overproduction of melanin and their colour varies depending on the amount of pigment produced.
Spots of this type develop as a result of the ageing process; they can appear both on the face and body, usually in areas that are the most exposed to the sun: face, shoulders, décolleté and the back of the hands. Besides UV exposure, the use of drugs such as synthetic hormones, antibiotics and antidepressants can also increase the likelihood of developing pigment spots. The same could be said for free radicals that accumulate in the body due to stress and an unhealthy lifestyle.
Pigment spots can be removed either by means of medical peels or by ErbYag or diode laser treatments.

Treatment of rosacea

The onset of rosacea usually occurs at an age between 30 and 50. While it is more common in women, men can also be affected by a severe inflammatory form. Rosacea can be treated using medical peels and special lasers designed for the treatment of vascular lesions.

Treatment of scars and for improved wound healing

While scars are not a disease, they can be unsightly and are therefore considered to be blemishes. State-of-the-art laser technologies use high-intensity beams to smooth out even decade-old scars. This type of laser treatment also stimulates and accelerates the healing of small to medium-sized wounds, preventing the development of unsightly scars.

Ultherapy

Ultherapy is an innovative ultrasound lift that combats the signs of ageing by regenerating and tightening the skin without the need of surgery or invasive procedures.
Micro-focused ultrasound pulses deliver energy to the deep layers of the skin, heating the connective tissues up to 50°C for a short time. This causes the flabby tissues to tone up and stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin. Gentle, painless and safe, Ultherapy is a patient-friendly alternative to the surgical lift; it is indicated for all skin types and can be performed at any time of the year. One session takes 30 to 90 minutes and does not require any post-treatment measures. Results are already visible after the first session. Ultherapy is especially recommended to treat the eyebrow area, chin, neck and décolleté.
