Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an umbrella term for a group of tocotrienols and tocopherols with similar properties.

Not only is vitamin E one of the most important antioxidants in the human body, it also protects against infections and atherosclerosis and contributes to skin tone and youthfulness by promoting cell renewal. Its effects derive from a synergy with vitamin C and selenium. Vegetable oils (e.g. sunflower and wheat germ oil), nuts and seeds are a source of vitamin E.
