pH

For the purposes of healthcare, pH is the value referring to the body’s acid-base balance, which can be detected in urine, blood or saliva. Urine pH can be measured by means of litmus paper strips. This simple, cheap test is recommended to detect a possible state of chronic acidosis. A pH of 7.0 is a neutral pH; values above 7.0 are basic, while values below 7.0 are acid.
