Mugwort sticks

Mugwort sticks are used by acupuncturists who practise moxibustion as a complementary treatment. Practitioners hold a burning mugwort stick near the areas to be treated until the skin becomes red and warm. The sticks are roughly 20 cm in length and consist of ground, pressed mugwort wrapped in a thin paper strip.
