Lactobacilli

Lactobacilli are lactic acid bacteria that are part of the human microflora. They mainly colonise the oral cavity, intestine and vagina. They thrive in acid environments and produce lactic acid that protects the body from infections by inhibiting the proliferation of pathogens.
